Released for the second time ever, the U.S. Clean Energy Leadership Index by Clean Edge has ranked how all 50 states compare across the clean energy spectrum. Using 70 different indicators in technology, policy, and capital, the index names the following as the top 10 states:

According to China’s deputy director of the National Energy Administration, Qian Zhimin, Chinese cities, counties and towns will be increasingly green in the next few years. As reported in China Daily, Qian estimated that by 2015, the country could see as many as 100 cities, 200 counties and 10,000 towns relying on alternative sources of energy like renewables.

The Denver Federal Center, home to numerous federal agencies, recently finished installing the second photovoltaic array. Located in the western suburb of Lakewood, the Federal Center is located just south of Highway 6 and on the new light rail line that will run out to nearby Golden starting in 2013.
