Organic farms, sky gardens and a hostel decorated with recycled junk are just a few of the eco-friendly attractions revealed in the first ever green travel guide to Singapore, and the latest in our range of Jamble Green City Guides.
Some of the lesser known attractions featured in the Green City Guide Singapore include the organic Bollywood Veggies farm, which offers tours and home-grown meals; guided tours of the sky gardens in National Library Singapore, and the popular Hostel One 66, which features recycled furniture such as desks made from old sewing machine tables and seats made from old toilets.
Although travelers don’t always think of cities as green travel destinations, our range of guides were created to show how cities such as Singapore are actually perfect for travelers aiming to reduce their carbon footprints.
Singapore is easy to get around by public transport, it has some great parks and reserves to explore, and even the drinking water is recycled – but until now travel guides to the city have rarely highlighted these eco-friendly aspects.
